Combining an ‘Introduction to Marketing’ with an interactive, fun-filled day, this event challenges delegates to create and launch their own chocolate company.
Each team is given a golden envelope containing a million pounds with which to set up their very own handmade chocolate company. Following an explanation of the day which includes the basic principles of marketing, teams will be required to identify their target market, plan their product range, develop their packaging and plan their distribution strategy and pricing. This session will take up the morning, with teams also working on marketing slogans and communication plans – and allocating their budgets.
Teams then get to put their product development ideas to the test making a selection of handmade chocolates to appeal to their target market. They are then able to present them in packaging which they have designed during the morning session.
Finally, all teams present their company to potential ‘investors’ and are judged on their planning, effective use of budget, marketing plan and of course their product! A hamper is awarded to the best team.
